As per the latest reports, Virtue Poker has made an announcement of a successful funding round that has recently been concluded. Virtue Poker has revealed that it has successfully generated $5 million in funds from the particular funding round.
The firms that have led the funding round for Virtue Poker include Pantera Capital, a venture capital firm, and ConsenSys, which is an Ethereum infrastructure firm.
The announcement around the success of the funding round was made by Virtue Poker on Monday, April 12, 2021.
The virtue Poker team has confirmed that there were other participants who participated in the funding round as well. Some of the most prominent entities in the funding round were Jez San, founder of FunFair, and blockchain investment outfit, DFG.
Virtue Poker is not a new poker platform in the blockchain industry as it was founded back in 2016. Virtue Poker is a poker platform that was based on the Ethereum network, which is decentralized in nature. It was back in 2020 when Virtue Poker had Malta Gaming Industry grant it a Gaming Service License (B2C).
The team at Virtue Poker has also confirmed what they plan to do with the money they have raised through the funding round. The company will be using these funds in order to fast-track the development work on the blockchain poker platform.
The company has revealed that it wants to launch the mainnet of the poker platform on the blockchain network by May of 2021. On top of that, they have taken the project through extensive beta testing in the past couple of years.
The CEO of Virtue Poker, Ryan Gittleson also talked about the project and where they see it in the coming years. This would definitely help the project in expanding its services in different parts of the world.
