Justin Sun has finally turned lucky and has been able to get his hands on a piece of digital artwork created by the most famous digital artwork creator, Beeple.
The second headline from the NFT sector is that Sophia the Robot has just entered the non-fungible token (NFT) industry.
According to the reports, the founder of Tron (TRX), Justin Sun managed to get his hands on the “Ocean Front”. It has been confirmed that “Ocean Front” is the digital artwork NFT that has also been created by Mike Winkelmann, who is prominently known as “Beeple” in the NFT world.
The sources have confirmed that Sun was able to acquire the “Ocean Front” NFT for a whopping $6 million through the live auction. Fortunately for Sun, it is one of the digital artworks that are created on a daily basis as part of the collection for the “Everydays”, the 5,000 works.
The Ocean Front NFT has also been added into the “Everydays: The First 5,000 Days” digital artwork NFT that was reportedly sold for a whopping $69 million. At that time, the competition was between Metakovan and Justin Sun but Metakovan ended up acquiring the NFT for $69 million.
Sun later argued that he had placed the bid for $70 million for the particular NFT but his bid was never updated. He blamed the network as the bid he placed for $70 million never made it to the moderators at Christie’s Auction House’s management for the bidding price.
As per details from the latest bid of the $6 million NFT, details have emerged that only Farzin and Sun were left in the bidding. The bidding for the particular “Ocean Front” NFT was held by Nifty Gateway, which is a prominent NFT bidding marketplace. Farzin is the co-founder and creative director of 3F Music.
The team from Nifty Gateway has confirmed that the competition between the two bidders commenced when the NFT bidding price reach $4 million. That was the time when the rest of the bidders stepped away and let the two duels to get their hands on the “Ocean Front” NFT.
Apart from Sun’s recent achievement, the Sophia AI robot is getting ready to come into the NFT artwork sector. The humanoid is the work of Hanson Robotics, which is a robotics company based in Hong Kong. Sophia was created by Hanson Robotics back in 2016, she is known for already creating digital arts alongside Andrea Bonceto, who is a digital artist.
